Bike Trails
All the trails at W. Kerr Scott Lake are
open to hiking and mountain biking and
provide for a less demanding route than many
of those found in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The Dark Mountain Trail has seven miles, and
the Overmountain Victory National Historic
Trail has over seven miles. In the future,
the trails will connect to the Yadkin River
Greenway.
Since some of the trails are well beyond
paved roads, be sure to prepare properly for
your biking trip. Be careful not to disturb
natural plants or flora during your visit,
so everyone can enjoy the trails for years
to come.
Nearby Brushy Mountain also has
approximately 20-30 miles of mountain biking
trails for visitors to enjoy.
Rent mountain bikes at Wildness Canoe &
Kayak right at the lodge. Mountain bike
rentals are based on individual bikes.
