Historic Yadkin River Runs are expedition
river trips leaving the lodge each morning.
You are transported to different access
points where you put in, to paddle a 3-hour,
4-5 hour or a 5-6 hour trip down river to
the take out. Along the way, enjoy a
historic trip down the Upper Yadkin River
and enjoy the abundance of wildlife and
scenery. If you are a fisherman, a small
mouth bass, red eyes, maybe even a trout,
are just a few you may catch. For those of
you who may just want to enjoy the day, plan
a picnic and swim along the way. If you
would like to make it a weekend trip camping
is also available1/2 way through the trip.
Arrangements can be made in advance from
April 15 through October 1. Bring your
camping gear and make it a fun filled
weekend of paddling and camping.
Lake
Touring
Lake Touring is also available for those of
you who would like to enjoy the lake. We
offer Explorer or Expedition Rates. You can
explore the 55 miles of shoreline and many
of the calm water bays and river inlets.
Wildlife, bird watching, and fishing are
just a few things to do while enjoying your
day paddling.
Dress
We recommend comfortable fitting clothing,
and water shoes to protect your feet from
sharp rocks and for traction to avoid
slipping. Expect to get your feet wet on the
trip! |
